Our Values

From the beginning, ICA Denver colleagues have based their training and service efforts on profound human values.  For example:

1)  Being inclusive in its approach to community development means inviting every member of a given community to join in activities of research, planning, capacity building, and social action.

2)  Working on behalf of all people means that as we work in a given community, we walk humbly before the vast potential of human creativity.  When we design and implement local models and approaches, we also strive to freely share our experience and materials with colleagues and communities around the world.

3)  Living in hope extends beyond optimism and wishful thinking and means listening deeply to the historical trends and believing that despite all odds, the future is open to new possibilities and creative solutions.

We seek to work with people who appreciate these values.  We also nurture the human spirit in ourselves and in our colleagues as we work together.
