2010 Film Events

ICA Denver

facilitating inspired results

SCHEDULE

In 2009 ICA Denver used several film events to educate ourselves and others in two areas of interest:  1) issues around immigration and cross cultural understanding and 2) environmental issues related to climate change.

The films that were presented included “The Visitor”, a drama about a introverted professor’s encounter with a lively African couple; “HEAT”, a PBS documentary that examined alternative energy sources and their relative ecological impact; and “The Imam and the Pastor”, a film about reconciliation in a war torn area of Nigeria. 

An average of 15 people attended these showings, which were each followed by a discussion using ICA'S in-depth focused conversation method.
